Residents of a rundown French apartment building battle against an army of deadly, rapidly reproducing spiders.

Kaleb is a small-time hustler with a passion for exotic critters. His room is filled with vivariums, and he makes money by selling sneakers to the residents of his building in the Paris suburbs. On one fateful day, Kaleb purchases a big exotic spider from the back office of his friend Ali’s bodega. When the spider escapes its makeshift shoebox pet carrier, Kaleb barricades his room in hopes of containing the exotic creature, but to no avail. Soon, Kaleb and his neighbours are in a fight for their lives against the venomous arachnid menace. INFESTED is the debut feature from Sébastien Vanicek, a rising talent who will be in the director’s chair for the next EVIL DEAD movie.

DIRECTOR'S BIO
Sébastien Vanícek is a French filmmaker, who has quickly gained status on the horror film scene with his debut feature, INFESTED. The film won the Best Picture & Best Director Award at Fantastic Fest 2023, the Special Jury Prize at Sitges International Film Festival, and was nominated for Best First Feature at the César Awards. The director of three short films, Vanícek has been tapped to co-write and direct a new installment of the EVIL DEAD franchise.
