A professional undertaker at a funeral parlour, Sybil Chamberlain's job is lonely, with few perks. So she takes solace where she can. Far from her privileged, carefree childhood, Sybil's life was drastically changed when she lost everything. A darkness within her has taken over, and as her loneliness grows stronger, her desires are harder to control – especially as her main work companions are already dead. When a fetching man enters her life, and she falls in love, things really go sideways. A devilishly perverse good time, the debut feature from actor turned director Joanne Mitchell is based on her 2018 award-winning short SYBIL.

DIRECTOR'S BIO
Joanne Mitchell started off her career training as an actor at The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. She has spent many years working in theatre, TV, film and voiceovers. Over the past 10 years, Joanne has found a new-found love for filmmaking. To date she has either produced, co-produced or co-written five independent movies: BEFORE DAWN, BAIT, ATTACK OF THE ADULT BABIES, WOLF MANOR (SCREAM OF THE WOLF) and EVIE. All have had played at international film festivals around the world and have had International Sales and Distribution, including runs on Netflix and Hulu. Recently, Joanne has directed two short films, SYBIL and THE OUTING. Her debut feature film BROKEN BIRD, starring Rebecca Calder and James Fleet, was the Opening Film at the 2024 London Frightfest Film Festival.
