Tucker and Dale are two best friends on vacation at their dilapidated mountain house, who are mistaken for murderous backwoods hillbillies by a group of obnoxious, preppy college kids. When one of the students gets separated from her friends, the boys try to lend a hand, but as the misunderstanding grows, so does the body count. TUCKER & DALE VS. EVIL has been a hit on the festival circuit, debuting at Sundance, and winning the Midnight Audience Award at SXSW, the Jury Prize for First Feature at Fantasia, the Best Director award at Fantaspoa, and the Best Motion Picture Award at Sitges. CUFF hosted the Alberta premiere of TUCKER & DALE VS. EVIL as the Opening Night Film in 2011 with Director Eli Craig and local cast and crew in attendance. This year, CUFF will screen the Canadian premiere of Craig's most recent horror film, CLOWN IN A CORNFIELD, as the Closing Night Film.

DIRECTOR'S BIO
Eli Craig is an American-Canadian director who was born in Los Angeles and lives in Vancouver, BC. A graduate of USC’s Graduate School of Cinema, Craig worked for several years as an actor before his desire for more creative control lead him toward writing and directing. He wrote and directed the award-winning short film, THE TAO OF PONG in 2005 and produced, edited and shot dozens of music videos, commercials, and documentaries since then. In 2010, Eli's feature film debut TUCKER AND DALE VS EVIL was an incredible success on the film festival circuit, winning multiple awards including the Midnight Audience Award at SXSW, the Jury Prize for First Feature at Fantasia, the Best Director award at Fantaspoa, and the Best Motion Picture Award at Sitges. CUFF was honoured to host Eli Craig and the 2011 festival, where TUCKER AND DALE VS EVIL was the Opening Night Film and won the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature. CLOWN IN A CORNFIELD is his latest film, which debuted at SXSW 2025 and will have its Canadian Premiere at CUFF.
